The July 4 celebration downtown is not one event, it is two, and they run on different clocks a few blocks apart.
Rossi Park, on the Riverwalk. 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio on the stage. Food trucks, a vendor market, and a kids' play area on the Great Lawn. General admission is free, VIP tickets are available, and the fireworks are timed to start between 9 and 9:30 p.m. This is the family shape of the evening.
Old Main Street. 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Luna and the Warriors playing later into the night. Same fireworks, different soundtrack, and a longer runway on either side of the show.
Residents who care about the sightline pick Rossi Park early and Old Main Street after. Residents who care about the music pick one and stay.
